Student Stipend Program

29th Meeting of the DDA

The Division on Dynamical Astronomy of the American Astronomical Society will provide up to two stipends of $400 each on a competitive basis to students who wish to attend the 1998 DDA meeting in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The competition is open to all students attending any college or university and doing research in the area of dynamical astronomy. This includes, but is not limited to:

Students should apply by sending a 2-3 page description summarizing the topic they wish to present at the meeting along with a short curriculum vitae and one letter of recommendation from an advisor or research collaborator to:

Electronic submissions are preferred, but regular mail is acceptable. Submissions must be either postmarked or e-mailed by January 12, 1998. The recipients will be notified by February 16. The stipends will be awarded at the meeting. The recipients are required to participate in the meeting, and follow the rules for registration and abstract submittal; however, their abstract, registration and banquet fees will be waived. Recipients will be responsible for making their own arrangements for travel, lodging, etc.
